HTML not working as it should  en

This site was originaly written using Dreamweaver, and on the contact page there was a link to a guestbook, which has worked fine, and still does from the original dreamweaver page.

The site has now been re done in Website 5 v12, and I have simply copied and pasted across the relevant HTML from the old page to the new one.

<a href="http://www.jimart.co.uk/cgi-bin/guestbook/guestbook.cgi">Guestbook</a>

nothing else has been changed, in that the relevant file sare still in the cgi-bin.

however when you click the link you now get a 404 error message

The site is jimart.co.uk, the page is contact in the drop down menu

Does anyone have any suggestions why this is happening?

Thanks

Hello Peter,

If you are getting a 404 error then the file is simply not present at the URL specified: there is no ambiguity as far as that is concerned.

Verify that the path to the file on the server is correct, as stated in your link...

Do you have a folder called 'cgi-bin' within the root folder of your WebSite X5 project (on the server), and do you have a folder called 'guestbook' nested within the 'cgi-bin' folder?

Please note that this issue is not related to WebSite X5 in any way.

Kind regards,

Paul
