How to tie up the webpage input with the Data Base

I have a Website www.kobusdippenaar.co.za, but as a Website developer I have a test site called test.kobusdippenaar.co.za
I keep on getting a problem that the website page does not find the data base.
THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE
I created a Data Base through the cPanel and it is called kobusdip_db1000
I defined my table as BidinData with 3 fields.
in the Data Management page of X5 i entered the host name as
localhost
then as test.kobusdippenaar.co.za
then as kobusdippenaar.co.za
On all attempts it gave me a message that it can't find the db.
You may run the site test.kobusdippenaar.co.za and goto page 2 use only the 3 fields on the left. Ignore the login.
Any solution?
Would be appreciated.

Hello Kobus,
Did you use the settings defined by your hosting provider for the database?
Is the database using a different port?
If yes set as host
localhost:number of the port used

Thanks for the reply. I did not understand and contacted my hosting company.
The user rights within the DB were not set, so that was done.
Now there is a new problem, but still the old one as well.
Please check the site at test.kobusdippenaar.co.za
Go to the bidding page, only enter lot number, lot Amount, and e-mail. then send.
I am getting 2 errors. "Unable to connect to db" and on the second try, after a refresh, I get "activate javascript"
Help!! Please !!!

The link shows a websitex5 user login and password form. Sorry where do I find what is, the user name and password?

The Questbook password setup is solved, I checked the Help function.
The Javascript issue is still a problem.

Please someone, How do I active the javascript? Do I have to? Getting an error trying to capture data to the data base. see posts above.
