Hello there, im back again.
mine father have a problem with his guestbook.
He have his site uploaded to the internet and now he is al of his comment gone, and he have always that kind of problems with his guestbook.
its suck a little bit because he have a traveling site and he is gone fore a year now and al the people have sent him a message and now thats gone.
so pleas help me.

Hello Patrick,
The guestbook is saving the comment files in the folder he has choosen to save them, the public folder. Please check if these files are still present or if these has been deleted.
It is important to not delete the content of the public folder where the comments are saved otherwise the comments are lost.

ok thats strange because he never deleted the public folder. and still lose the comment.
also another question he have click the email notificaton on and in the begin he get the notifications to his email, and now he dont get that anymore, everytime there is problems with that guestbook, is there a update upcomming for the whole guestbook.

Hello Patrick,
Since your father has the upgrade to Version 10 it would be useful to move the project to Version 10 and then follow this tutorial for the guestbook:

About the http://www.camperfreak.nl/uw-reactie.php?id=r7m6d4 page this was probably a previous guestbook uploaded and it has neever been deleted. I would suggest to remove the page online.

hello thanks for the reaction Claudio,
now have mine father verry much spam in his email, so the spam filter to fill in on his page dont work and what can we do about it?

Hello Patrick,
I would suggest to save the comment files online and then delete all the other content and then upload the whole project again.This should help.
I would reccomend to move the project to Version 10 and then use the guestbook of Version 10. In this way the project will have all the upgrades present in the new Version.
