Is someone at Incomedia having a joke at users expense?

I want to edit one of the template Headers - no longer is the path listed but how do i find the template when they are listed as: C:\Program Files (x86)\WebSite X5 v10 - Evolution\Templates\im0c8o1x3v103do3o15po2a9v68b733bah

This is ridiculous - very disappointed - it is a nonsense!

Please explain how I find the template I am looking for...

You can duplicateandedit the templatein the program.this is theintendedway to do this.In thedirectorywiththe templatesyou can find aindex.xmlfile withthe template name.I would not changeanythingthere, butgo the way oftheprogram because theDuplicated templatecan geta nameand soare available.

This doesn't even make any sense.

You can't find the template - if you don't know the name.

Teilen Sie genauer mit, was nicht geht, was Sie möchten ?

I just did a search for top.* in the C:\Program Files (x86)\WebSite X5 v10 - Evolution\Templates. Sometimes they are jpg, sometimes png. If you use the Extra Large Icons view you can scroll through them and find the one you are looking for.

This works (sort of) but it is a ridiculous way to organise files.

It still doesn't tell me the folder...

In the next update - make sure the folders are named to match the templates

Very disappointed user...!

I am also so disappointed with this. I almost always edit the headers of the templates. Now it is a mission to find the correct template's files.... :(

Hello,

To edit the templates in Version 10, it is not necessary to go in the template folder but you can just select in the program the template you want to customize and then click on duplicate. In this way if you doubleclick on the duplicated template it will open in the Template Editor Window where you can change the image files or the style of the template to adapt it. With this option you will always have the original copy of the standard template and it makes it easier to adapt it to your needs.

Please feel free to write back if you need more information.

Long winded and unnecessary - why not name the files..?

If users want to re-edit it is not a proiblem

This was a big mistake.

Hello Paul,

Since we added in the Template Editor the functionalitz to edit also installed templates, it is not necessary to edit the source files.

You can change all directly in the program.

Many thanks!

You mention edit templates in Version 10.   What version is this?  I have just purchased version 9 and no one told me that there was a version 10 .

I purchased this product because I wanted to make custom templates and now I am finding that I have to buy another product.  What kind of business is this?
