H1 Class -> Imhidden And Google  en

Author: D. Reimann

Since X5-V9 I see folowing in the body of the index.html:

<h1 class="imHidden">.........</h1>

The text (.......) is the expanded text title and the title from the general settings.

OK so far. But these titels are usually keywords for a homepage.

Unfortunatelly Google interprets this vica versa. If a word is in h1 and has the 'imHidden' attribut, it is excluded from the keyword list and therefore can't get found from a Google search.

Is there a possibility to avoid this 'imHidden' flag?

The "imHidden" tag doesn't mean I am Hidden, altogether!!

The "hidden" is a control for this "class" tag..... We are given the opportunity to hide the "TITLE" Tag twice in versions of X5, once in Page Properties and the other in Styles and Models. Google the "HIDDEN CLASS" Tag to find out more!!

If you go to search in Google and insert: site:www.yourwebsiteurl.com you will see every page that this search engine (SE) has indexed for your website. If the "TITLES" are hidden they would not appear in the SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages) nor would they be seen in the TABS of your browser!!

Hi Cheeky Man

I don't know what you mean with this response.

My problem is: The expressions I entered in V9 in various places (expanded text title and in the title form) are set to "imHidden". And it seems that Google excludes these words totally from the keyword list.

In fact: the titles I set in V9 (which should describe the webside) are completly missed out from the list of keywords and will never used from a Google search. This is exactly the opposite of my intention!

Probably there is another possibility to set keywords somewhere else?

It is a well known fact Google doesn't use the Keyword Meta Tag!!

Yes, that well known! I do not talk about the keyword Meta Tag.

The discussion is about expressions which are set to h1 (header 1) and "imHidden". Probably I have to make an example to set the focus on this error:

In 'General Settings' I set the title to "abc". Now looking at the resulting code in the index.html:

V8 -> <div id="imHeader"> <h1>abc</h1> (this is OK and "abc" is found from Google)

V9 -> <div id="imHeader"> <h1 class="imHidden">abc</h1> ("abc" could not get found from Google)

I have just helped put an X5 V9 Website on the first page of Google (one of many) through my SEO and using "TITLES" (See my guestbook)

I suggest learning more about HTML, CSS and SEO practices then redo your titles and descriptions. The "Algorithms" in the Google search engine will be changing soon in any case!! As the search engine is becoming more secure!!

Can you tell me which page were able to put on the first page?

I can't find it in your guest book.

Probably this could allow me to verify. (I followed all hints from you and Google, but my page is not in the first 50 search results.)

Thanks!

The thing is buddy you are NOT allowing me to view your website to see your attempts at SEO!! You are not understanding the principals of how the search engine works. It is regionalised now and is about to be made secure...

I am not in the habit of telling porkies about my Google first page triumphs and my clients have been well pleased with the SERPS There is a lot of ppl scamming with SEO as a search engine results can be very unpredictable!!

It's rather like emailing a mechanic to explain how to fix your car.... nigh impossible!!

Looking at your response I get my doubts about your knowledge. We are here in a technical forum, but your response is only a flush of emotions about your triumphs and car mechanics(?).
This kind of answers do not help and is only a time waste!

I make another try to explain - probably has somebody else an idea (or a déjà vu) - it is so easy to reproduce:
 - Project created in V8 -> after 1 week online: Google search successful (within first 3 findings)
 - Website X5 - V9 bought
 - same project converted to V9 (nothing else changed)
 - published in internet. After 5 days: completely failed out of Google search (site not found within first 50 searches).
And this has nothing to do with X5-V9 ??? (are there some other 'experts' who share this?)

btw: I published this to a Google forum and some experts looked at the code. Some of them asked me, what kind of an ugly code generator I use. A h1 class with inHidden is dangerous and completely wrong (this is the opinion of real experts).
