It seems that all the templates that I used in Version 8 seem not to be available with Version 9. Latest problem is the Company / Laptop (blue) template. Any suggestions?

You can import your V8 project into V9 or even use the templates to create your own.

This you can do by using the Custom Template facility in V9!!

Yes, Cheeky Man, what you have said is true BUT - a) if you import the V8 project into V9, in the absence of the template on which the V8 project was built, an alternative template has to be chosen and b) building your own Custom Template requires delving into the V8 models to find and transfer the various JPG and then correctly sizing them in the V9 custom template.  Only this second option gives you a chance of replicating the original website look and feel, as I understand it.

Hi my friend.... No you have to "BATCH PROCESS" your website first before importing this retains the structure of the model.... ie. The Template!!

You haven't chosen an animated model so the importing should go well??

We've even imported an animated one and it works!!

(With a bit of know how!)

I am sorry, but I don't follow this. What is "watch the final conversion download"?  Logged in to what?  Where is the Batch Process procedure, which I can use apparently to convert Company / Laptop (blue) Horizontal template from V8 to V9?

You have to create a custom template from the template of version 8!

In the link you can find a finished project with the template you want. You only need to import even in X5 and you have a project that uses the template.

This is the process which Frank tries to explain. A individuelless template by hand to create from the template.

I am a German user so you can here that might not really understand. But you can ALL templates for Version 9 also convert the animated this is not a problem.

I've already done this several times.

Export/Optimize and Batch to Folder/No Optimization/Directory= C:\MyWork (Or the name of your choice... But it must be on C Drive)

This puts "ALL" your project on "C" Drive now import it into V9!!

If the template used in V8 is not present in version 9 is another is selected! For example, "White Silk", because no export and import helps a little.

The same thing happens when you pick a template from the Template Pack.
And in version 9 when the template pack does not exist.

What are you trying to say with your short sentences?

You are wrong matey!!!

The short sentances are how to "Batch Process" your V8 X5 project BEFORE you import it into V9.....

It doesn't CHOOSE another template when you import into V9.....

It puts everyone's V8 Project into the "Custom Template" facility except the animated ones which wouldn't work in any case!!

I do not understand is not entirely ...

So I've been at once the basis of the "laptop" template!

My test project is in pre-selection of the template laptop.
This I export without optimization on the C drive.
Then I import it into version and I get NO custom template but the "A Desert" template is selected.

If I create a custom template in V8 is taken correctly. But the default templates are NOT converted to individual template during an import in Version 9

Maybe we can make both times as a remote session may create some clarity. Would you do this with me? I would like to see your practice time with you, or you show me with me, but since you had a little German rule.

I hope you understand the text, which looks as if I read through this with my little knowledge of English .... not so good

I'm still struggling with your comments, Cheeky man.  My very first page, Project Selection, has an Import button but not "Export/Optimize".  Where are you finding this option?

See screenshot for V8 Export (aka - Batch Process)

For everyone with V8 and converting to V9!!!

When you import it to V9 carry on to the Custom Template DO NOT select an X5 model!!

Then the show nevertheless a way you must go to the template laptop (vertical) in version 9 to get to without having to create a customized template. Your explanations are relatively meager.

I thought that I had closed this ("correct answer"ed it).  I am sorry that my question has caused bickering.  I think Cheeky Man should take a sabatical.  He is not cheeky, he is scant with his advice; and bordering on rude.   Thank you Der Zwoemti, despite the language difficulties, you supplied a solution, understod.
